Absolute go to place for Bubble Tea in Vancouver! I usually go to theirDunsmuir location which is right below my building, however we were on Cambie and decided we wanted to grab some Bubble Tea. My go to order at Xin Fu Tang is usually the Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea with Pearls. It's a perfect balance of sweetness, tea and pearl ratio. The pearls are also very soft and taste great. While they don't mention it, you can ask them to customize your sweetness levels and ice levels. If you're also looking for a fortieth version, the Signature Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea is a great option! They also have a huge variety of Milk Tea options. I'm not very experimental with my milk tea orders and therefore won't be able to comment, but I'm sure everyone will be able to find what they're looking for. Would highly recommend!
The bobas were a perfect texture with the wonderful rich brown sugar permeating through the entire pearl. We ordered the black tea brown sugar milk tea, which was delicious and not overly sweet. The slight bitterness of black tea balanced the sweet boba. The staff was friendly and quick too. Would definitely recommend!
I've watch so many videos that hyped this place up for their brown sugar boba drinks so of course I had to try them out when I was visiting. Now to educate you- brown sugar boba is a whole milk based drink with their warm brown sugar mixed bubbles. They add a scoop of bubbles in the bottom and coat the sides with the brown sugar syrup then is topped with whole milk. Then topped with brûlée crème. We ordered the famous brown sugar boba and a fruit tea. The brown sugar boba was in my opinion... to hyped out. I was pretty sad. But the bubbles were so soft and chewy. But I expected a burst of flavor. There wasn't. I've had brown sugar boba at other locations before and this one had to be on the bottom of my list. The fruit tea on the other hand was delicious. Fresh tea flavor.
Super super glad I got to try Xing Fu Tang while in Vancouver this past week, cause California doesn't seem to have a location open yet. XFT is absolutely delicious... I can't wait for it to come to California. XFT has multiple locations in Vancouver - this location is on Cambie street, so parking can be a little difficult. Luckily my friend and I came on a Monday night around 9 PM close to closing time, so there was a ton of street parking available. Interior is relatively small, seats probably max 20 people at once. There are only a few tables for seating, so not a lot of room if you have a larger group. The order/pick up area is kind of narrow, so not much room to stand around either. We ordered the signature brown sugar fresh milk w/boba 黑糖珍奶- $6.50. Comes in one size. Boba is super chewy even an hour before closing, and the fresh milk is extremely fresh. Drink wasn't too sweet even with the caramelized drizzle on the side. Recommended mixing is stirring 18 times before sipping, and it definitely helped. Service was mediocre but I never really expect that much from milk tea places. They do speak mandarin/canto so useful if you speak a chinese language. Definitely will be back next time I'm in Canada... can't wait! hehe.
Brown sugar drinks here are a must try. They are known for them and they are so tasty. The drinks aren't customizable here but their base drinks aren't too sweet so I didn't mind. I've had a few of their other drinks before as well but their brown sugar milk tea is the best.
